THE HONEYDROPSThe Honeydrops are a vintage rhythm and blues and roots rock and roll band out of Fullerton, CA.
We are a 5 piece, female fronted group with an upright bass, guitar, and saxophone. The band was created by drummer/ manager Rockin' Ramos. After stints with his previous blues and traditional rockabilly groups he decided to take his love of both styles to form the band, The Honeydrops. Our name was derived from Roosevelt Sykes, an American blues singer known as "The Honeydripper". Along with other American blues/ roots rock n' roll artist , The Honeydripper paved the way for the classic American art form called Rock N' Roll. The music that we play are the honey drops left over from the many great musicians that have come before us. Fronted by "Miss Bee", the talented Brooke Aston, The Honeydrops are influenced by and play music in the style of Ruth Brown , Wynonie Harris, Big Joe Turner, Lavern Baker, Wynona Carr, Little Richard, Etta James, and many more.
